There are now many GPS navigation apps available for smartphones, and with your VeloCharger fitted, you will be able to use their features without the fear of running out of battery power.

One of the best apps we have found is  Guru Maps , available for iOS and Android phones. You can import vector maps, based on OpenStreetMap data, for use offline. This is most useful when you are cycling in an area with poor mobile reception, or abroad to avoid roaming charges.

You can also import tracks created in other programs, and record tracks and export them to share with other riders. You can find instructions for importing tracks in the Galileo online manual.
